Social Media Specialist

DEPARTMENT: Content Department



  • Be fully acquainted with all social platforms (old and new and any upcoming), how they operate and what are the best practices for each channel
  • Responsible for creating creative stand-out ideas and communication for all media mediums including social media, online/offline ads and campaigns, storyboards for short movies etc.
  • Be able to come up with activation plans and social media strategies
  • ake part in creative pitches and proposals (proposing ideations, enhancements and provide recommendations and messages)
  • Meet with clients when needed in order to understand the scope of their business and to identify their needs, wants and objectives.
  • Discuss and execute amendments on social calendars with the CS team
  • Ensure the execution of the content based on the brief from CS team
  • Be able to write design briefs after visualizing the post prior to execution
  • Responsible for creating creative captions and copywrite.
  • Responsible for following up with the designers and CS on the status of the deliverables
  • Follow up with the monitoring team to ensure content being posted is performing well
  • Find new ways and tactics to create high engagement on social channels by suggesting new strategies and trends.
  • Assess the content or communication being created and find ways optimize (per brand/ channel)
  • Research new technologies in the field and attending online/ offline trainings to develop the creative skills.
  • Stay up to date with the newest advertising tools and techniques on all social channels.
  • Constant research on the latest trends around the internet and how to relate them to social content.
  • Constantly updated on the market/country the brand is coming from, while taking into consideration the events/calendars, trends and culture of that country and apply creative content accordingly.
  • Aim to create at least 1 viral content per month per account though right planning and execution.
  • Find solutions for daily challenges and work proactively to avoid them.
  • Filming, shooting or participating in content for social media is an add-on


  • BA degree in Marketing, or any relevant field
  • Creative thinker with plenty of ideas, willingness to experiment, and the drive to see ideas to implementation
  • Experience creating strong, engaging content.
  • An understanding of SEO best practices
  • Good communication and presentation skills
  • Knowledge of the latest advertising and marketing trends
  • Time management skills
